Here are 3 ways to have a great week . . .
Set yourself up for a more joyful and happier you …
- Look for the Positives. No matter the situation, you can always find something good. Here are some examples of seemingly miserable things that can happen . . . and the positive.
Situation: You need to fire someone. Positive: By closing the door on an opportunity for the person, you (a) can use it to coach them how to avoid this happening in the future and (b) provide space for a new door to open, to pursue what they really want in life.
Situation: Money seems to be flowing out like a tsunami to replace things- razors, lawn equipment etc - because each are necessary and they all are breaking one after another. (yes, real situation for me ) Positive: You realize how long you have actually had the item and how much use you have gotten out of it. It was bound to happen, why not now. Time for pretty new functional things to last another 10 plus years.
- Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. It's all small stuff. I know that sends your blood into a boil, but think of it: a year from now, 10 years from now, will it matter that you did not meet a deadline because of something that was totally out of your control? Not likely. But it will matter how you made the person feel about making you miss the deadline.
- Try Something New. For lunch today, take in the new Greek place that just opened instead of your normal sandwich shop. Spend a few extra minutes and take the scenic route home today. Decide to wear a bright colored shirt or dress tomorrow instead of one from your typical subdued color palette, and then wear it tomorrow. Take a left out of your building on your walk today instead of a right. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. It doesn’t matter what you do, just do something out of your ordinary.
Whatever you do, just put some magic in your Monday . . . and in you!
MAKE EVERY MONDAY MAGICAL
REMEMBER . . . YOU GOT THIS!
